BSc (Hons) and UK PGCE
I hold a UK Honors Degree in Rocket Science and a UK PGCE for teaching secondary school Physics and Science. My teaching career spans 10 years as a Head of Science and Assistant Head at good to outstanding schools in the UK and the UAE. I am an examiner for Edexcel, the IB and Cambridge examination boards. I also have extensive knowledge of AQA.
I understand that every student has different needs and therefore my lessons are planned individually. I use real world examples, thought provoking questioning and thorough assessment to bring the subject to life and challenge my students to explore and develop their own understanding; Science students cannot score high grades in exams simply by remembering and recalling facts. When students move closer towards exam time, the focus shifts away from learning new information and moves towards examination training. As an examiner, I grade thousands of exam papers from all over the world each year. This puts me in the position to understand what the examiner is looking for and where most students lose marks. Proper examination training enables a student to feel confident and prepared as well as giving them the skills to fully demonstrate their understanding and avoid dropping marks.
I have 12 years of teaching experience and 15 years of tutoring experience. I have taught mathematics at various levels, including College, High school and Middle school level. Apart from Maths, Physics is also a subject that I teach.
I manage step by step to escalate the level of grasping of the students, understanding and mastering the material, plus obtaining better scores in the standardised tests.
Bachelor's and Master's in Electrical Engineering
I am a math and sciences tutor who has been tutoring both professionally and "off-the-cuff" since I was 14 years old. I have a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power System Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and have taken a very heavy STEM curriculum. I am a very detail- and rule-oriented person, which is very critical for navigating the world of the hard sciences.
To me, effective tutoring is the same as effective communication. Whenever I meet with a new student or discuss a new subject, I always make it a point to interview the student and work to understand their perspective. I ask questions like: "What are some of the issues you have with this topic?", "What can I do to help you learn this better?", "Would you learn better if I were to go over the material again, or would you need a different approach to explaining these topics?", and "What are some hobbies or activities you enjoy doing?". By actively understanding their perspective and their needs, a plan of action can be formed. It is very surprising, but in my 15 years of tutoring, I have found that the majority of students actually do not need a fully-structured lesson plan, but just need guidance on their most troublesome topics. There are two teaching methods that I have found to be very effective: Socratic Questioning, and Docendo Discimus (which sounds fancy, but is just Greek for "By Teaching, We Learn"). Socratic Questioning is back-and-forth communication between the tutor and student with an emphasis on engaging the student and putting to light what they do (and do not) understand. This method helps to develop critical thinking not just for the topic of study in question, but to also help promote future self-learning; an extremely valuable skill! Docendo Discimus is getting the student to teach the tutor. Teaching a subject usually requires significant understanding of all the important details and nuances of the topic, and there is no better way to expose any flawed understandings or issues than by seeing the student attempt to explain them!

B.S Industrial Engineering...
B.S Industrial Engineering
i have given a lot of training lectures during my college study and even work, i know myself i am persistent to make the receivers understand, not to know only. i am more in project management, math, using computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access) i am excellent in Ms Project, Excel and very good in Access
i think teaching through examples is one of the best ways for the receivers to understand, less theory and more examples
I have completed Engineering and have 2 years experience.
My lessons are planned in according to students needs, strength and weakness. I focus on understanding of the concepts and subsequent practice.
Teaching is my passion and Math is my strength. My focus is to make students learn Math not by rote but by building understanding of concepts. I see so many students not opting for Math when given a choice without realizing that Math is just everywhere. Whichever field a student may opt to work in future will surely need a good knowledge of Math. So, in all my classes, we talk about how we can apply the concept that we are learning in real life. In short, I help your child fall in love with Math.
I believe that an after-school tutor has the flexibility to adapt his teaching style to the needs of the child as we have the luxury to work one-on-one with the student. So, I observe the child and take a few basic tests to understanding the current ability of the child. Then I design my lesson plans accordingly. I make a child do sums across all levels of knowledge. Once the basic concept is mastered, I ensure the child does HOTS questions and shows application of knowledge.

M.Sc with Physics, Ph.D in Astro-Physics.
I have had experience tutoring students at high school and university undergraduate level. During my own undergraduate studies in London I provided private tuition in physics, chemistry and maths to high school students studying for the IB and French baccalaureate. As a PhD student at the University of Manchester, I had undergraduate tutoring responsibilities in both maths and physics, helping first-year students with their studies in one of the UK's top science universities.
My primary objective when tutoring a student is not that they eventually answer an exam question correctly. It is that they understand what is being taught. This is important especially in maths and the scientific subjects, where gaining a real understanding of the concepts and reasoning behind scientific ideas will automatically translate into academic success. In order to achieve this I put myself in the student's shoes and work with them in a way that addresses their specific difficulties. I have found that often, being shown how to approach an academic problem from a different angle increases both the student's motivation and comprehension of the subject at hand. Lessons are tailored to the students strengths and weaknesses, reinforcing what the student has already understood to better tackle their difficulties.

As your tutor I will listen to you and find out where your strengths are and then take you step by step through the problem areas of your chosen topic. By the end of the session you will most certainly feel more confident in the subject.
My focus is equally on the three categories of students - low, average and high achievers. But I would prefer students responsive to my teaching ie teaching not as a formality. I am friendly cum disciplinarian. I prefer encouragement and appreciation more than correction and criticism. Also I try for a full scale development of the student i.e all the four skills of English language. I prefer to stay 5 - 10 minutes more than the assigned time.
I have a student oriented teaching approach. I believe in and practice a step by step improvement of the student. I believe in planning in practice rather than a neatly typed/written formal planned.
B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA
I have taught English and Maths for SAT and GMAT in India, Kuwait and UAE. I hold 8.5 bands out of 9 in IELTS. B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering
I have completed B.Sc with Chemical Engineering, I have had 1 year of official teaching experience, teaching Maths classes and lab sessions to undergraduate students in the same field. Although I may have an advanced understanding of different aspects of Maths, Chemistry and Physics, my educational background has equipped me with the basic tools to teach even the most basic of lessons in the same subjects. I am also fluent in both English and Arabic and can teach in either languages.
During the initial session, I assess the student's weaknesses and develop a better understanding of the goals his/her parents are expecting. Based on the first session, I would then devise a study plan that addresses the student's weaknesses and desired outcomes. I also assign homework that the student must work on and submit for every following session. Lastly, I conduct a short quiz at the end of each major lesson to ensure that the student has understood the material completely.
Bachelors in electrical engineering
I am an electrical engineering student at imperial college London. I went through all levels of the British education system (IGCSE+ A levels). I was a top student myself achieving A* in all my science and math subjects throughout my education in addition to achieving full marks in both math and physics A-levels. My tutoring experiences include tutoring my 5 younger siblings to reach their full potential at high school.
I am an experienced exam taker especially with the british system, I know how exams are marked and what are the markers looking for. I will make sure that the candidate understands the fundamental principles perfectly and then move on to practice exam style questions to make him more familiar with exam style questions. My lessons will be two hour longs and I may give homework to make sure that the candidate understood the lesson.
High School Graduate. Presently doing under graduation in New York.
I have tutored for neighbours during high school I have tutored 4 High School students during year off after High School in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Tutored 20+ fellow undergrads in Physics at my University. I have taken Physics and Astronomy major. I am really passionate about teaching and I mean to go into the field of education with a goal of changing the education system. I will only be available during the summer.
These are my rules when it comes to teaching: The student actually understanding the material is of prime importance. I understand that different students learn differently and I will do everything I can to help the student find a way to combine their style of learning with the subject. Practice and practice some more. Making notes and teaching are two great ways of learning and I try to incorporate both of these into my lessons.
BSE-Physiscs, MaEd Physics,MaEd science Education
I have been teaching mathematics and science subjects from elementary to college students. I am a licensed teacher. I had some tutorials at home, in which I taught mathematics and science to all ages, elementary to college students.
I believe in one of the phrases I've read about education, which says, " if students cannot learn in the way you teach, teach them in the way they learn". As teacher, I am taught to be a facilitator of learning. There is no such thing as best strategy, because of the multiple intelligence our students have, varied strategies should also be employed.Every lesson I give, I make it sure that my students learned and enjoyed.

Graduate from American School of Dubai
I have tutored throughout my high school years at the American School of Dubai in topics of math, french, english and physics. As a second year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate, I can offer insights as well into the college application process, SAT preparation, etc.
I believe in creating a relationship of trust between the tutor and tutee. The student should feel safe and cared for and the tutor should do his/her best to engage the student using different methods of learning whether visiual, oral or demonstrative. I invest my time in the student if I believe in him or her and enjoy nothing more than seeing that "click" or the light spark when a concept is understood. Although I am in Dubai for only 2.5, April-June are critical time periods before exam preparation and I believe I can help clear up conceptual doubts and offer the student the practice framework needed.
