Tutor's Profile

Since qualifying with a Bachelors of Education I have been teaching 3-4 years. I have taught a wide range of age groups (4-15years) and abilities in many subject areas. In addition I have constantly developed my pedagogical knowledge through other courses and around the area of teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL/EAL/IELTS). I encourage a positive environment where the person feels comfortable in their learning and I try to adapt my teaching to suit the style of learner.

- Firstly I plan my lessons by having a look at the overall goal for the tuition. - Tailor my lessons to suit the level, age and class/grade of the person. - My lessons will be engaging and interesting. - Lessons will not be overly repetitive. - I will keep my lessons fresh. Tutoring Techniques can range depending on the subject area, age and class/grade. Many techniques I employ are the use of visual, written, aural and tactile resources. Other techniques may include project/enquiry, ICT Microsoft PowerPoint and pen/pencil written work.
