First, I make an evaluation of the student’s background knowledge and ability to grasp. I also find out what the student wants to achieve. My teaching will be pitched accordingly. I use virtual collaborative whiteboard with zoom link. The student is expected to have a writing device such as a writing tablet with pen. The lessons will be largely interactive with a lot of back and forth exchanges. The student can record the lesson. Following each lesson, I give automated quizzes where the student can self-evaluate. I also provide graded practice material which will be marked and returned after the student submits it. I also get the students to practice exam style questions right throughout the course. Closer to the exam, I give mock exams which the student does under exam conditions to build up confidence and speed.

- Every student is different and has different needs. Are they preparing for a test? Are they doing a project in school? Based on this I plan my lessons accordingly. - However in all my lessons, the most important thing is to keep the student focused and interested. Following on from this, I always use clear and easy to understand examples and explanations. Finally, I always assess the student's level of understanding and only move on if I am happy with that level of understanding.
