Japanese, English, Piano, Scuba diving, first aid
I have taught Japanese for 4 years in Dubai so far, some group, some private. I'm also a qualified TEFL teacher, certified scuba diving instructor (21 years), qualified first aid trainer (21 years), qualified personal trainer and pilates instructor for 10 years, and taught piano (been playing for 44 years) off and on for 5 years. As a very experienced instructor in many different things, I excel at creating fun and exciting learning environment. I strongly recommend 2 hours per session, twice a week to a total of 16 hours per month.
Each person learn differently - I take time to ensure a specific type of teaching approach is created per students' needs so they can excel at learning. I am also great at giving examples and breaking things down so student understands the complexity of a language as unique as Japanese.
Great Teacher and a fantastic human being. I am learning Piano and Japanese with Azusa but I feel I learned a lot more in terms of the broad and diverse culture that she belongs to. Better than thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher.
I have 10 years of experience in freelancing classes as a professional freelancer tutor
My tutoring approach is very simple: "Practice makes us perfect". I emphasize on understanding the basic concepts rather than mugging up. I always ensure that the student gives tests on a regular basis, so that the touch from the topics taught is not lost and also become aware of different types of questions that can be asked.

Nigina pocesses excellent English communication skills which made learning Japanese much smoother, she is dedicated, flexible and delivers a massive quality better than any institution I've wasted my money on, I've managed to learn hiragana and katakana in less than a week along with so many lessons and still having her as my teacher, if you're reading this and having a second thought just take my word and hire her, you will not regret this I guarantee it. Excellent quality, reasonable price, well knowledgeable to her age and a very funny teacher.
TESOL Certified,BS Nursing and ITE Singapore Scholar, IELTS Band Score of 8
7 years of experience as an English and Human Science Tutor for Medical and Nursing Students. Currently, tutoring primary and middle grade in English, Science and Math while assistingGrade 11 and 12 with their college applications.
I prefer to plan sessions around what each student needs so I am flexible about what we can cover and would like to talk through which areas a student finds difficult in order to plan how we can tackle them throughout the following sessions. I am keen to adapt my teaching style to suit how each person learns so we can have a think about whether a student prefers written explanations, videos, or other methods of learning.
Ellie was my sister's English, Math, and Science tutor during her primary years. I find her strategy engaging and motivational. She is strict in a good way and her assessment are always on point. She was my coach during my first IELTS take and got a band score of 7.5.
I really like her teaching style. I am a Science tutor but required help for the IELTS examination. Her teaching technique is based on my strengths and weaknesses which she has discussed after initial assessment and mock exam. I got a score of 7.5 with a high mark in speaking.
She understands her students, unlike other tutors. Our friend endorsed her and she is our tutor until now. What is good with Ellie is that she helps me and my brothers to become independent with our studies so we have to be more responsible.

Japanese Master degree (teaching specialization)
こんにちは！Hello everyone! I now have 6 years of experience in my field and I had the beautiful opportunity to study in Japan for a year as an exchange student at the university of Keio (Tokyo) during my Japanese master degree. I had the opportunity to help Japanese students in their French and English studies and it was immensely interesting.
My teaching method is based on the teaching of the grammar without irrelevant (superfluous) informations when it comes to explain and write it. It allows the student to master the grammar point much easier and review it faster as well. Challenges are really important as well and they are naturally part of my class. For the writing (KANJI), I also use my own method really helpful to memorize them with sentences and other advices. (I will provide everything for it. And you will have nothing to buy) I insist on the fact that kanji are really important to learn Japanese and you can absorb a lot of vocabulary thanks to them. Then when my student reached a certain level, I introduce audios, videos and most importantly mini-speeches allowing my students to practice their Japanese and use everything he or she has learned. The theme of the speech could be personal but I will give the theme as well time to time. The classes can be done everywhere (at home, library, coffee shop) and I don't have any problems to move. The classes in groups work very well so if you have a special request about that do not hesitate and we will fix a good price depending on the number of people. (I already gave classes to a family of 5 so it works) For any additional informations do not hesitate to contact me via mail or WhatsApp. My best regards. よろしくおねがいします！Peace!

I started teaching Korean students in the Philippines way back in 2010. I conduct one-on-one, small group & online tutoring sessions in specific subject areas to students of all ages. In addition, I help the students develop the knowledge, skills & confidence needed to become independent learners in English. My tutoring experience here in Dubai began when a colleague asked me to tutor her child who is having difficulty in keeping up with the lessons in school, primarily in Science & English.
I've learned that in order to be an effective tutor it is important that I utilize the following: (a) Maintain a report about each child so as to see the progress of the child (b) To be in contact with the teacher and the parents of the child, in order to share information about the child (c) Devise new methods of teaching if the child is having trouble learning through the conventional method (d) Design workshops for the children so that they can learn better in different atmosphere than school. After all the essence of effective teaching is to transform even the most challenging students into learners.
Can teach basic nihongo to foreigners. Can also teach english to japanese.
None. I did, however, passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N4. So I understand conversational japanese. I also worked in Japan for 6 months and worked for a japanese company for 1 year. For those who want to learn English, I can also teach English since it is my second language. I use it everyday at work and studied it for more than 18 years in school. I also worked for an American company in the Philippines for two and a half years.
If it's English, I prefer conversing in the language while correcting my students at the same time. That is how I mostly learned aside from the grammar books in school. I believe constant practice and using it in everyday situations is the key to learning a language fast. Not just memorization. I'll use a book from time to time and make you read it aloud but aside from that mostly we'll just converse and I might give you short assignments for the next meeting. For learning Japanese. Since I will be teaching beginners books are necessary. I usually teach basic expressions and words together with the basic writing styles hiragana and katakana first before teaching any kanji since i do not want to confuse my students. Once that is done and memorized that is the only time I start teaching grammar and kanji.
US MA in TESOL, UK PGCE (Teacher Training), UK BA Honours in French and Spanish, JLPT level 1 (Japanese)
I am British with both a degree in French and Spanish and a teaching qualification from the UK. I am currently teaching languages at one of Dubai's top British International Schools. I have experience teaching both the IB and British curricula, having delivered both these programmes at international schools around the world. I have also taught Japanese and am fairly fluent in this language.
For me, being a language educator is like being a gatekeeper to an exciting new world which enriches a child’s literacy, intellect, communication skills and cultural understanding and it’s my prerogative to entice them into this world of language learning from day one. I do this by creating a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment and by ensuring that my lessons are interactive and fun. Then, I metaphorically take each student’s hand and guide him or her through the language learning process, scaffolding the building blocks and providing supportive learning tools. Then, as their confidence and interest grow, I facilitate growth-focused, independent and group learning by identifying clear learning outcomes, communicating with students, giving specific feedback and, most importantly, encouraging them to be reflective and independent learners.
