I am very bubbly, outspoken and can be a little strict while it comes to teaching but I keep a friendly atmosphere. I would give a free demo class first and if the parents of the child like me as the tutor then I'll charge after the first demo class. I want the grades of the child to come up. That's the whole process of becoming a teacher anyway.
It depends upon what I teach the student. For example - Mathematics and Physics involve a brief explanation on what the topic is about and then you go further dig into the derivation and theory but after that - you need to solve a lot of problems and I'd solve them along with the student. Biology requires explanation and a little memorization (but not a lot) - It is more about understanding the process and how they're all interconnected.
