I am very experienced in teaching children with English as a second or third language. I am able to teach across Foundation/ Kindergarten and Primary year groups. I have experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and can advise on how schools can/should be supporting your child.
Initial meetings will consist of 'getting to know you' activities alongside supporting the child's needs'. This will allow me to gage what stage the child is at and put together a support plan that we can discuss when convenient. Then activities will be fun and practical to get the best out of teh child and not feel like a continuation of 'school.' Depending on the age and needs of the child my lessons consist of practical activities that reflect the areas we need to develop. Learning is made achievable and broken down into chunks the child can master. Regular feedback is a must and I would like to meet with parents consistently regarding the nature of support the child requires.

BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies & PGCE Early Years (3-7 years)
I am a Primary school teacher, trained in the British curriculum. Initially studying Early Childhood Studies, giving me a solid understanding how to enrich a childs learning, I have been teaching for three years, two in Foundation Stage 2 and one in Year 2. During which I have worked with children who have special educational needs plus those who speak English as a second language. I have had regular positive lesson feedback including being filmed and this used as examples of best practice.
I believe in a teaching approach based on each individual childs needs, nurturing their talents to support and guide them through their own individual learning journey. From my theory based undergraduate degree and through classroom teaching I understand how important it is for learning to be hands on, relevant to real life and exciting, as this is truly when children learn best. All children can succeed and when these things are present there is no limit on how far children can go. Lessons provide achievable challenge through differentiation, inquiry and questioning and I can tutor in practical activities for phonics, maths as well as fine-motor activities and assisting in vocabulary extension. Parents play a key role in a childs learning and development and I can work with you to ensure you can support your child by understanding teaching approaches used in schools, what your child is learning and where we can both take them next. I am incredibly passionate about educating children and nothing gives me a greater sense of pride and satisfaction than when a child achieves their potential.

BA Ed primary education
5 years teaching experience of British curriculum. From aged 5-11. Experienced in catering for a range of personalised needs and ability.
My approach is to first of all make a child feel confident in my presence by building on what they already know. Then to target gaps in knowledge using approaches specific to the child. Practical and methodical approaches are important in teaching a child.
Bacholar of Dance and Physical Education
I have been teaching for five years. I have taught Secondary PE, Year 6, Year 5 and Reception. I trained in Sydney, Australia where I taught for a year before moving to London. I taught Primary and EYFS in London for four years before I moved to Dubai, August 2016. Along side my teaching, I have also tutored for three years working with the British and Australian curriculum.
One of my strengths is my experience across years and countries. I have learnt different approaches to learning and constantly apply these ideas into my practice. Another strength is my flexibility and willingness to always learn and try new things. This extends to my classroom and teaching as well. Often following the lead of the students and adapting my plans to meet their needs and learning style. My teaching style is a facilitator, or activity style. I aim to promote self-learning and help students develop critical thinking skills and retain knowledge that leads to self-actualisation. A benefit of this style is that it trains children to ask questions and helps develop skills to find answers and solutions through exploration.I plan my lessons based on the student's misconceptions and areas for improvement. To do this I would work along side the classroom teacher to ensure there is dialogue. After every lesson, I reflect on my lesson/teaching and identify the areas of strength and the areas of improvement. I reflect on how the student learnt and what can improve to further benefit the learning in the classroom. My lessons are one of a kind because I ensure the student feels safe to learn and eager to learn. I encourage them to make mistakes and take the risk to be challenged. I support them in learning the skills, but I do not do the work for them. I always aim to be positive and bring my passion of teaching and learning to the classroom so that they too can feel encouraged to give their best in the lesson. I get to know the student and their interests, where possible I include their interests into the lesson. For example: I tutored a 4 year boy that loved dinosaurs so when we were exploring addition and subtraction we used dinosaur models I have high standards for my students and I constantly encouraged them to be the best version of themselves and by doing that they can accomplish anything, I believe praise is a power tool in education and use positive reinforcement to let them know how well they are doing. Finally, I am organised and ensure my lessons, homework and marking are all up to date to ensure the student/s are able to get the best out of each lesson and from me.
I am an experienced and successful Primary teacher with a background in psychology, who achieves her goals by drawing upon 15 years of experience. I have taught both the British and International Primary curriculum across a broad range of ages (3-12).
Enhanced by my background in Psychology, I pride myself on developing an excellent rapport and inspiring trust and confidence in all my students. After completing an initial assessment on each child I take the time to prepare and tailor every lesson to suit each of my student's needs and preferences using games, ICT and practical activities. I put a lot of effort into researching learning Topics online, developing lesson plans based on curriculum expectations and finding or creating the most relevant and accessible resources to support every lesson. With excellent communication skills, patience, sensitivity, creativity, flexibility, refined behaviour management skills and commitment, any family can rest assured that I will do my utmost to provide a nurturing and safe learning environment for their child.

Tutored member of royal family...
Tutored member of royal family in Kuwait for 6 months
In Kuwait, I tutored a member of the royal family for approximately 6 months. Initially, the student had a low reading rate. I was able to increase my students rate from 4 words per minute to over 33 words per minute within a couple of months. Also, I helped my student build vocabulary and writing skills in English.
I used a "fun-based" approach to teaching in which younger students will enjoy each tutoring session while learning. With various educational games, I have been able to improve my students' academic ability.
Primary / Secondary teacher
I have a specialized degree in Early Childhood Care and Education. I have many years of work experience in India and then later on worked in Netherlands with the foundation stage children. In India, I have worked with nursery and year 1 children and later on started working with less privileged children, to build their English confidence and to create a bright future for them. Most of my students are now employed working as a nurse or in the hotel industry. In Netherlands, I helped year 1 children to build on their Maths foundation skills. I am passionate about teaching and as an early years teacher. I believe that early childhood education is crucial for children to learn, explore and have fun. My greatest joy comes from being able to guide and develop beautiful young minds for a bright future. I believe that education is the most powerful tool you can use to bring a change in the world. I am a dedicated enthusiastic teacher who continually strives to raise standards. I have a clear vision and keep closely monitoring the achievements of the children.
I have many teaching aids, which help children to learn through play. I use the jolly phonic method to enhance the phonics. It is key that children enjoy what they learn and as a teacher I see it as my duty to keep forming innovative ways to reinforce the teachings. For Maths, it is essential that the foundation is crystal clear. We work with many tools to get this clear in the students mind. Once that it is clear it is very easy to learn addition subtraction multiplication or division. I also provide with online tuitions.
