From the ages of 02 months to 6 years all children at Little Pandas Early Learning Centre follow the Early Years Foundation Stage – the National Curriculum of England for all children from birth until they go into Primary School.
This, in turn, prepares the children and feeds into the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 – which is covered in the Reception Class at Primary School. The Early Learning Goals are a series of aims within six areas of a child’s development and learning.
Personal, social and emotional development, which focuses on the children learning how to work, play share and become more independent in a group other than the family unit
Although the structured and formal part of your child’s day is important we give the unstructured and informal part, such as meal times, talking to each other, and outside play, just as much importance, because during this time your child is continuously learning.
Your child will have the opportunity to experience a number of varying stimuli. These will include:
Play in a secure environment as a member of a group
Express their own feelings
Begin to share and care
Begin to understand what is right from wrong
Become confident and have a positive self-image
Enjoy making things
Test and try their own ideas with different equipment to see how they work.
