Master in Arabic literature
My philosophy is based on the idea that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves.
Bachelor in Technology
Firstly, I try to create a friendly classroom environment between me and my students so that they may feel comfortable in asking me their doubts or coming to me with questions and other such things. After that, I try to see where their drawbacks lie by testing them in a particular topic to see what we need to work on and accordingly do further work on those certain topics in order to make them more confident with it. Overall, I explain the topics and subjects clearly and give them small quizzes after each topic in order to see where they stand. If I see that they are stuck or not able to answer, I provide additional help. I also assign weekly homeworks in order to make sure they are doing their part at home and are applying the skills learnt in class. As I tell my students, I am willing to explain a certain topic to you even a 100 times but please don't say that you understand unless you really do.
My planning of the lessons depends upon the skills and the understanding of the student that how clearly he will understand and how he will approach to develop himself. The more he or she show me interest the more I will put my efforts.
BA Hons Primary Education with QTS
I have been a Primary School teacher for 5+ years in the UK and have recently moved to Dubai. My previous role was as a Head of Year 5 in the UK. I have experience in Primary year groups 1, 2, 4, and 5 but have a good understanding of the entire Primary curriculum. I have a strong subject and pedagogical knowledge in the core areas of English and Mathematics.
MY tutoring approach focuses in on using the time to provide invaluable 1:1 verbal feedback in a way that will enable the child to feel confident and at ease - their best learning state. Learning activities will range from games to more formal learning activities to ensure the learner is able to apply their understanding outside of the sessions. In mathematics, I am able to quickly identify areas of weakness for the learner and use manipulative, practical materials and visual representations to plug gaps in learning and aid progress. My understanding of the English curriculum and grammatical knowledge means that I can offer age-appropriate lessons and opportunities to identify or apply within meaningful contexts.
Cache level 3
I have a cache level 3 in early years which is teaching children English from ages 15 months - 6 years old and also above I can do. My certificate is in the early years but I can teach older children also. I have worked in the Middle East for 2 years also.
I have been teaching for 7 years. I hold a bachelor degree in English Language, Literature and Civilization. I also hold a masters degree in linguistics. I am a Cambridge certified teacher. I hold a CELTA teaching certificate. I easily establish rapport with students from different cultures. Very patient and dedicated.
Skilled ESL instructor versed in using effective and efficient methods of teaching while focusing on the individual needs of my students. My lesson plans are based on needs analysis done on the first session before classes start to take place. I implement traditional and innovative methods to motivate my students to learn the English language and prepare for international exams.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
I have completed the IB in May 2018. During these 2 years, I tutored younger students doing their IGCSE’s, helping them with biology and chemistry. During my IB I completed biology and chemistry at a higher level. From personal experience, it is important to understand a topic very well before doing questions. Once this is done do as many questions as you can. The most important thing is if you still don’t understand something ask you a teacher as many questions as you need to until you get it!
I always ask the students which topic they want to look at next week so I can go over the content and plan a way to make it easy to understand. I always bring a pack of past paper questions for them to practice in their own time and at the beginning of each lesson we go through the questions and discuss any issues. This is the method that worked for me in order to achieve good grades. But of course, every student is different so I try to adapt to each individual in order to improve grades.
