Tutor's Profile

I have been teaching Piano, Music Performance, Acting and Music Theory for the last 10 years. I am qualified to teach ABRSM and RIAM. I am a qualified secondary school Music Teacher since 2012. I have taught in various co-educational schools and directed two school musicals. I am outgoing, friendly, and fun and take a personal interest in them. I am hard-working and determined. I am very passionate about Music and adopt an approach that teaches the students to be critical, confident and independent. I am very passionate about the English Language also so anyone looking to develop their English Speaking Skills I am here to help! 

My pastoral care role as a tutor has helped me build a good rapport with students as they felt they could approach me as I was sympathetic to their individual needs. My approach is calm, patient and complimented by well structured lessons. I keep my students interested. I integrate humour into my lessons. I will plan my lesson based on the work completed from the previous week. I will give a student an incentive to work hard for 20 minutes and then play a popular piece at the end of the lesson. I always create a positive and flourishing learning environment for the students.
