Tutor's Profile

I am currently Assistant Head of Teaching and Learning with experience of leading an outstanding English Department in Dubai. I have 13 years teaching experience in a number of different examination boards including GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and IB MYP/DP, as well as working as a Team Leader and Examiner for the IB. In addition to this, I have supervised both English and Film EE at IB level. Although I do not offer free trials, I am willing to come for a 15 minute chat, prior to the first lesson to discuss your needs and explain how I intend on supporting you.

Lessons will include; model examples, essay structure support, essay planning support, key skills such as integrating quotations, identifying literary devices and analysing and evaluating effects. My experience of working for both the IGCSE Cambridge and IB examination board gives me an insight into how candidate examinations are marked meaning my marking and teaching is extremely accurate.
