Tutor's Profile

I am a British trained qualified teacher with 20 years experience of highly successful teaching specialising in Primary Key Stage1 and 2 and I also teach GCSE English up to 'A' level standard (KS3 & 4). As an Examiner with a well-known Board, I am able to help my students to maximise their potential using targeted revision and exam techniques. I am considered to be patient and adaptable and many of my students come to me by recommendation. My focus is on praise and encouragement with new pupils, whilst guiding my pupils to success. I am considered patient, an outgoing tutor with a great ability to motivate pupils and make the subject concerned an exciting one to study. I have 20 years teaching experience at Primary and Tertiary levels (full time classroom teacher in the UK for 14 years and overseas as a full time teacher and personal tutor for the last 6 years).

My approach to teaching is always tailored to the needs of each individual; I set high expectations for my students and will support them to be proactive and to take responsibility and pride for their learning.
