Tutor's Profile

British tutor. I am at the forefront of innovative new ideas for teaching and learning across the school, never forgetting the fundamental basics – that we have to look at ‘the bigger picture’, helping students to become successful as learners in the classroom and within the community. Factors which underpin my effectiveness is my energy; my enthusiasm; my positivity and the fact that I am keen to embrace new challenges. I have experience in all exam boards for GCSE and iGCSE as well as KS3, KS4 and KS5.

As a tutor, I ensure I look at what students currently know and what they need to learn to be successful by assessing a student's knowledge during the first session. Each tutoring session is tailored to the needs of the student and with this in mind, I then plan backwards and ensure that there is a clear action plan in place for the number of sessions/ weeks that tutoring will take place. This therefore allows for tracking and monitoring of progress with opportunities to plug gaps in areas a student may find more challenging.
