Tutor's Profile

The specializations I teach are: “Business computing” and “Accounting”. The courses I give are: C programming language, algorithms and data structures, and MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). In my 24 years of teaching experience, one thing I have learned is how to make any idea or skill, no matter how difficult, accessible to the student.

I use a mix of two teaching styles: Mainly the directing style: I tell my students what to do and how to do it. I impart information via lessons and presentations. Students gain information by listening, taking notes, and practicing what I tell them to do. Sometimes I use the discussing style which promotes learning through interaction. I guide discussions with my students and encourage them to find the answer themselves.
