I like how Mr Omar gives classes based on the students problem as for me I have trouble with theory, so before classes I would study only the theory side and wouldn’t have to stress on past papers because he would provide me with the past paper and would help me in class as I do the past paper which has helped me a lot. I have been a teacher for 10 years, and have offered remedial intervention to all my students who have needed it. I owned my own remedial centre in 2016/2017. I believe in tapping into the student's own unique learning strengths, and believe whole heartedly that all students can reach their highest potential. I have worked with students from many different age groups, as well as cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and believe this has given me the ability to reach my students on their level.
I do an assessment in the beginning of the tutor-student relationship to see where the gaps are in the students education. I then design a intervention program focusing on filling those gaps with resources and exercises. My number one goal as a teacher, is to develop self confidence and belief in each of my students. When they face a task and believe that they can tackle it head on, they can achieve their outcome and they can do so on their own - then I have done my job!
