My approach to tutoring will be engaging, challenging and above all I will strive to create an environment which makes the tutee want to push him/herself proactively rather than being "spoon-fed." The result will be that the tutee will enjoy learning, and the progress and benefits will start to become apparent fast. It was through this style of teaching/tutoring that I found my strengths in academia and ultimately successes, therefore I wish to pass this confidence in learning onto the next generation.

Bachelor of Technology(Education) in Materials and Architectural Technology
I have five years experience of highly successful teaching at secondary school level. I am an experienced tutor of Maths and Design Technology. I am able to help my students to maximize their potential using personalised learning targeted revision and exam techniques. I am considered to be patient and adaptable and many of my students come to me by recommendation.
I provide a stimulating learning experience in which students can develop to their full potential. I employ a broad range of teaching methods tailored towards individual student needs and to help prepare students for assessments.
BSc (Hons) and UK PGCE
I hold a UK Honors Degree in Rocket Science and a UK PGCE for teaching secondary school Physics and Science. My teaching career spans 10 years as a Head of Science and Assistant Head at good to outstanding schools in the UK and the UAE. I am an examiner for Edexcel, the IB and Cambridge examination boards. I also have extensive knowledge of AQA.
I understand that every student has different needs and therefore my lessons are planned individually. I use real world examples, thought provoking questioning and thorough assessment to bring the subject to life and challenge my students to explore and develop their own understanding; Science students cannot score high grades in exams simply by remembering and recalling facts. When students move closer towards exam time, the focus shifts away from learning new information and moves towards examination training. As an examiner, I grade thousands of exam papers from all over the world each year. This puts me in the position to understand what the examiner is looking for and where most students lose marks. Proper examination training enables a student to feel confident and prepared as well as giving them the skills to fully demonstrate their understanding and avoid dropping marks.

Promoting innovation and collaboration within my teaching, helps to instil independent learning and self-belief, allowing students to create their own thoughts and ideas in order to propel them into their future careers, some of which don’t even exist yet. In addition, I aim to teach with enthusiasm, passion and humour where appropriate, to promote engagement, allowing students to take full advantage of their potential. Education is an individual, personal experience for every student who enters the classroom therefore, empowering students to take responsibility for their own education and development is necessary in order to provide the next generation with the skills needed to lead the world forward.

As I have a masters in education I use the latest approaches in educational theory and build my learning around how one learns and memories materials on a lifelong learning approach.
Bachelor's and Master's in Electrical Engineering
I am a math and sciences tutor who has been tutoring both professionally and "off-the-cuff" since I was 14 years old. I have a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power System Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and have taken a very heavy STEM curriculum. I am a very detail- and rule-oriented person, which is very critical for navigating the world of the hard sciences.
To me, effective tutoring is the same as effective communication. Whenever I meet with a new student or discuss a new subject, I always make it a point to interview the student and work to understand their perspective. I ask questions like: "What are some of the issues you have with this topic?", "What can I do to help you learn this better?", "Would you learn better if I were to go over the material again, or would you need a different approach to explaining these topics?", and "What are some hobbies or activities you enjoy doing?". By actively understanding their perspective and their needs, a plan of action can be formed. It is very surprising, but in my 15 years of tutoring, I have found that the majority of students actually do not need a fully-structured lesson plan, but just need guidance on their most troublesome topics. There are two teaching methods that I have found to be very effective: Socratic Questioning, and Docendo Discimus (which sounds fancy, but is just Greek for "By Teaching, We Learn"). Socratic Questioning is back-and-forth communication between the tutor and student with an emphasis on engaging the student and putting to light what they do (and do not) understand. This method helps to develop critical thinking not just for the topic of study in question, but to also help promote future self-learning; an extremely valuable skill! Docendo Discimus is getting the student to teach the tutor. Teaching a subject usually requires significant understanding of all the important details and nuances of the topic, and there is no better way to expose any flawed understandings or issues than by seeing the student attempt to explain them!
Professional Masters of Education
I have completed my Masters in Education in Ireland and I have three years teaching and tutoring experience. I have also tutored a number of children around Dubai after school. I like to promote discovery learning where the child is encouraged to solve the problems themselves. I always build a good trusting rapport with the child and have complete confidence in them to become higher achievers. improving their independent learning and enhancing their innovation skills.
I sit down with the parent and child and complete a timetable and discuss the child's strengths and weaknesses. I examine the child's school and workbooks and plan accordingly to what the child is covering in school or I can adapt to whatever the parent feels is necessary to tutor. I use my experience as both a teacher and a tutor to plan a mix of lessons, such as worksheets, problem solving, creative writing and completing experiments. I have always seen improvements in the children I have taught. I am hardworking, dedicated and knowledgeable teacher who loves teaching and seeing a child's results improve. As well as this, I always stay beyond the hour to ensure that learning has taken place, if perhaps we are still in the middle of an exercise that needs to be completed.

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
I am a Chemical Engineering graduate and I have a strong background in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. I have tutored university students for 4 years. I adjust my mode and way of teaching based on the weakness and strength of my clients. I am very innovative and outgoing person but I adjust based on the client's personality to ensure that he/she learns and enjoys learning.
I do believe that the basic is the key to understanding the bigger picture. Therefore, before every tutoring I ask what the client knows and views on the subject. I work on his/her interest and adjust my tutoring to make him/her interested in learning rather than forcing him/her to absorb the information. I normally relate our everyday life to what I am teaching especially when it comes to Chemistry so that the student will naturally recall the topic whenever the situation arises. I ensure that by the end of every session the client's needs and plus are met. I assure you that by the end of the lesson/s the client will want to learn/study more.

I am a fine art professional and love teaching it. I previously was doing it in a school back in my residence country. I major in fine art that is drawing realistic objects; faces, wildlife surroundings. My main medium is oil paints and pencil with blends of charcoal. I believe that naturing talent at a young age prepares a generation for greater creativities in future.
My lessons start identifying what the student loves moreand enjoys, then from that we can make a direction in respect to the students expectations and parents as well. All lessons are shirt with extended learning.
B.Eng in Electrical and Electronics, M.Sc in Facilities Management.
I help the students to understand the topics and how to apply it. Application based learning helps the student to grasp the concept much better. This helps in building a good base for future studies. Since i did engineering, i can help exactly on that. I dont like students mugging up or remembering maths formulas as they will only forget it soon. Its much better if they practice the problems or go through it more often so it will be a part of their life.
Normally i connect with the students first. This helps in knowing the student and their level of knowledge on a particular subject. Next I make the students a brief about the topic and ask questions to them to understand what they understood. They sit further to solve much more problems. I give similar questions if taking maths and gradually increase the difficulty level. Later I give them a mix of different questions (some outside questions as well) and this gives them confidence about the topic.
