BS in Computer Science and MS in Computational science.
I am a specialist programmer in Computer science and Mathematics using Java, C, C++Â and Matlab frameworks for college and high school students. Founder of the solution manual of the numerical computing course for Mathematics in college. Private tutored college and high school students for 6Â years in computer science and Mathematics. AP teacher for Computer science in High schools.
My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. My philosophy is based on the idea that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves. My experience has been that one-to-one personal tuition has a unique value to students because of the ability to resolve the students'Â personal barriers to learning in a way that lays the foundations for a deep and lasting understanding of the subject. My approach varies depending on the student's needs and learning style. However my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I use questions and examples to check understanding continually. I don't lecture to students or ask them to memorise things. Nor do I do the students'Â homework for them!
B.Sc. with Science, Honours Diploma in Primary Education.
I previously worked as Home School Tutor (Department of Education and Science) with ELL students, pupils with SEN and pupils that were ill. I tutored students from the ages of 5 to 17 years in the Sciences, Maths and English. I found work with the SEN pupils extremely rewarding especially when they reached their goals. I also had the opportunity to teach pupils that were out of school due to illness. Often short bursts of teaching suited these pupils, with the ultimate aim of maintaining the progress of their fellow classmates in the school. Working with students from a variety of backgrounds was also rewarding, especially those from troubled backgrounds. Witnessing their progress which they felt was previously unachievable demonstrated how pupils can achieve their goals with some confidence and support.
I believe each child is capable of achieving their individual goals, and in the future each child will eventually shape the world in his or her own way. Sometimes a child simply needs some extra support and confidence to inspire and cultivate what truly lies beneath the surface. I am committed in helping foster this extra work ethic and energy within each child, helping them to work to the best of their ability.

PGCE in Primary Education with QTS
I hold a PGCE in Primary Education with QTS and a BSc Honours in Sports Science. I have 3 years experience teaching the British Curriculum in the UK and 2 years experience teaching English as an Additional Language using my CELTA qualification in South Korea. This is my first year teaching in Dubai at a British Curriculum school. I am currently a Foundation Stage 2 teacher, however, my previous experience ranges from FS to Year 6.
I plan my lessons based upon the students academic needs. I assess the children to see where they are having difficulties and work accordingly. I also like to liaise with parents as they have a close link with the child's school and can advise me on any key difficulties their child is having with a certain topic. One of my main strengths is getting to know the students and their interests in order to capitalise on these in an academic setting.

My approach to tutoring will be engaging, challenging and above all I will strive to create an environment which makes the tutee want to push him/herself proactively rather than being "spoon-fed." The result will be that the tutee will enjoy learning, and the progress and benefits will start to become apparent fast. It was through this style of teaching/tutoring that I found my strengths in academia and ultimately successes, therefore I wish to pass this confidence in learning onto the next generation.

LLB Hons
I have been teaching students internationally since I was 18 years of age. I have tutored students from all walks of life and many who have gained places at top UK schools and universities. I have excellent results as I am friendly, able to engage with the students so that they remain interested and show them that they can do anything they set their mind to.
I expect my students to prepare for their lessons, I set homework and have a traditional English style of teaching but am fun and friendly too. I genuinely enjoy working with young people so I find it particularly easy to build rapport quickly. I plan my lessons based on what the student's needs are and I make them enjoyable - I truly believe in my ability to get students through exams and see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The planning of my tuition lessons is based upon solid assessment and identifying next steps that learners need to take in order to ensure successful progress for all students. I place a particular emphasis on ensuring that students are included in the target setting process and take time to evaluate their own progress and identify next steps in their learning. This analytical and progressive approach helps me to ensure that students make the best possible progress, particularly when working one-to-one.

Masters in Advanced Mathematics, Diplome in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Technology
As a math graduate, I began my career as a private tutor. I started with a very weak student. It was a challenge. The success I made by making my student develop her mental and thinking skills were the reasons for me to continue in this path. Private tutoring is a world for me where I can show my talents and make a Difference. If you are willing to succeed and develop your abilities in thinking and get them on the right path, then you've reached your destination.
Lesson plans differ depending on the student and the level. I believe that as a Math teacher, I will teach the student how to think and develop his/her mental skills so that he/she can continue on the right path.
Chemical Engineer and A Math Tutor
I am chemical engineer. I graduated from University of South Florida with GPA 3.58. I am from the States and moved to Dubai on December of last year. I was math tutor most of my college years. I instructed all level math courses ( Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Differential Equation, and graphing calculators workshops). I have done one to one and groups tutoring. I used a variety of teaching and motivational strategies to encourage students and inspire them to succeed in their courses.
I use variety of teaching strategies and styles depends on what kind of style the student prefer. There is four primary learning styles: visual, auditory, read-write, and kinesthetic, so it depends on the student what style is comfortable with. The tutoring technique I try to use is: 1. See what does the student know and what parts do we need to focus on the most. 2. Teach the concepts because in math it's important to learn the concept rather than just the process or the procedures. because in math if you got the concept any math problem can be solved no matter how hard it is. 3. Encourage and motivate the student because some students they know what they are doing and they got the concept but they just need to be motivated. 4. let the students practice problems on their own to see how well they can handle it.

My expectations are always made clear to the students which I support through different pedagogy styles, tailored to meet the needs of my students. BSc Physics (Imperial College London), MA Philosophy (University College London), MRes English Literature (Durham University)
I have been tutoring Mathematics, English, and Science in London for the past 4 years, teaching across a range of age and skill levels. Whilst specialising in focused exam preparation, primarily A -Level, GCSE, and entrance into selective schools, this, as I have learnt throughout my time teaching, is only one aspect of being a private tutor. There are boxes to be ticked, certain areas of understanding to be developed, but how this is approached depends entirely upon the needs of the individual student. Learning from the student, and their parents, what goals they have and the particular difficulties faced is, in my experience, central to the role a tutor can play. And this is what I enjoy immensely, for it is never a matter of simply rehashing what can be learnt in the classroom, but of developing an approach to the material that suits the student. A commitment to communication, discussion, and enjoyment in learning, are, I believe, central to the academic success that is, of course, the ultimate function of tuition. Indeed, I myself grew up in Dubai and went through the rather stressful process of sitting the entrance exams to Dubai College, an experience that helped me with my younger students in the UK who were themselves hoping for competing for a place in selective British private schools. Furthermore, my degrees in Physics from Imperial College London, Masters level Philosophy from UCL, as well as a research experience in English Literature from Durham University, has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the subjects I teach, as well as an appreciation for the importance of education in general.
In the first few lessons it is always important to get to know the student themselves, as everybody learns in different ways and has particular aims. Tutoring is at its most effective when utilising the close contact between teacher and student and, as such, I never treat the job as the deliverance of a lecture course or box-ticking exercise. For example, if it were a case of teaching GCSE Mathematics in preparation for the exam, I would spend the initial lessons discussing what has already been covered and what areas proved to be particularly challenging. This would allow me, the tutor, to develop a fuller picture of what needs focusing on and whether the fundamental skills needed to excel are in place before tackling harder problems. This is a broad scheme that can be applied to the subjects I teach at most levels, though if someone does come to me for a particular reason it is important to be flexible. In fact, it is essential to be aware of what is being taught in school and I always try to supplement rather than replace school learning to avoid confusion. Having said that, fundamentals are one thing, but I do try and move onto examination style questions and approaches to problem solving as soon as the student feel ready. These are, of course, hard and fast rules that require thought whenever taking on a new student, something I feel is part of the joy of teaching.
