An initial diagnostic assessment will be offered in the first session which will enable the students to see their strengths and weaknesses in their subject. They will then be given individual targets that will be monitored throughout the tuition sessions. I prefer to see where students are and use their strength to develop their weaknesses. To this end, I normally offer a diagnostic test for the first lesson and place students according to ability level. Depending on how the pupil works and their performance on assessments the teaching will then be based on the student's individual learning style. In all cases the cost of tuition covers all books and materials the student will use in the course as well as a projected levels for their subject.

Due to prior experience tutoring children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 I am confident supporting children with their Phonics, English Language, Reading & Writing, Maths, Science and Computing. I am an encouraging and positive teacher and believe that through hard work and perseverance, every child has the ability to succeed. Every child is an individual therefore my tailor made lessons are designed for a that child in mind this allows me to develop strong relationships with children allowing them to achieve their full potential.
To ensure my lessons cater to an individual child, I arrange an initial baseline session where together we ascertain your childs strengths and areas for development. I talk to them in depth about the subjects they find challenging and, in turn, create a personalised plan to support them through their weaknesses. My aim is to ensure that all lessons are both interesting and inspirational; this encourages children to be fully engaged throughout the session in order to reach their full potential. Whilst tutoring, I like children to take responsibility over their own learning and I embed activities which are varied and fun to promote their growth through the lessons.

Primary Education BA Hons
When in the UK I would privately tutor a group of 3/4 children during the weekends for the build up to their Maths GCSE's. All children were on the borderline of passing before private tuition but after completing the sessions the children all achieved their targeted goals. These would be 2 hour sessions working through exam style questions with discussion and explaining from the child. I have ran additional clubs at school in the UK and the UAE to build confidence of children in mathematics. I am currently based in year 4 this yteaching year with the majority of my tutoring experience coming in years 3-6
I have two approaches depending on preferences and child. 1. I will work on the topics the child is currently learning in school and develop this by either building confidence in this area or by giving a deeper understanding. 2. I can identify a child's weaknesses and build on these to gain more confidence before tackling other parts of the curriculum. BSc in Science and PGCE in Science
I'm a British Head of Science who's recently moved to Dubai. I have 12 years worth of experience in Science to KS3 and KS4 alongside all post holder positions I've been promoted to whilst in the UK. This was facilitated having been awarded with an 'outstanding' in 2008, 2011 and 2017 by Ofsted. I have written science assessments for KS3 and KS4, managed a faculty, coached and mentored teachers and delivered national conferences on how to promote teaching and learning at PiXL. CV on request.
1) How do I plan my lessons? My lessons are planned according to the syllabus of the student's school. Topics are then subdivided into what I feel would be best met in the length of lesson and the prior knowledge the student currently has. I tend to have at least two lesson objectives and two respective outcomes for the student to have achieved by the end of the session. I'm not confined to a lesson plan as students can ask many questions (and rightly so) and sometimes, the lesson may have to take a turn in order to address a student's misconception. I am very flexible in my teaching methods. Once I can see that a misconception is clarified, I proceed with the main body of the session. This will involve a small snapshot of theory, illustrated with diagrams, texts and questioning. My questions are based on 'Blooms Taxonomy'. A scientifically proven way to enhance and engage curiosity across all subjects and well as an excellent way of developing a students' thought process e.g: what, how, why and explain. The session is then ended with a plenary. This is a means for me to assess a student's understanding of the session. I may issue extra home learning to further ensure that the student can apply what has been taught. However, I always keep in mind the home learning that has already been set by the student’s school. 2) What makes my lessons one of a kind? All of my lessons are personalised and based around that student. This is achieved through having an initial introductory session so I can assess the student's prior knowledge and understanding. I also look to see how that student best take in and applies what is being taught. Some students are auditory, visual or kinesthetic or even all three and so I create lessons with that all in mind. - I have mini-plenaries throughout the body of a lesson. This means that I will stop to ask questions in order to assess the understanding as we go along. This is by no means to check that the student is on track. My lessons are engaging, fun and interesting. I can only state that based on the feedback that's been given to me. I can see when a student is disengaged, uninterested and bored. Having spent 12 years of teaching, making observations of colleagues for their performance management reviews etc, those things never go unnoticed by a teacher; so I'm very quick to address these things. - The student will be in a calm, nurturing and supportive environment and hopefully feel safe to ask questions without feeling pressured or anxious.

Bachelor's in Business Admin
I have recently graduated university and have been tutoring and helping fellow students out throughout college in Mathematics, English, business studies and also happen to be an assistant dance instructor in JLT. I am extremely flexible when it comes to tutoring in different styles depending on the abilities of the student. I encourage you to contact me with inquiries depending on the needs you require to be fulfilled in regard to what you want your child to achieve.
I plan my lessons quite simply and logically. Every first lesson is a demo class that will not be charged under no circumstance. During this class, I will examine the current level of the subject that the student possess, test their knowledge on the areas and figure out what areas need to be focused on in the coming classes. Following this I will report every class the achieved objectives and learning outcome of the class. If the class is Mathematics, business-related or English, all class material will be split into a topic-based structure where at the beginning of every class, the previous topcs will be touched upon and kept fresh within the mind of the students. In regards to Salsa and Tango classes both of which I do part-time already, I can teach beginner to intermediate groups or individuals and provide step-by-step support with results at the end of every class (leading, technique and fluidity in particularity for beginners).

Bsc Mechanical Engineering
I am a teacher who believes in educating students not just that they can pass a class, but also so that their learning curve skyrockets. I believe in the teaching style of making a problem seem simple by giving real-life examples and being a young adult understanding the type of method students understand a concept in and know to avoid methods which might bore them. I believe that I have the knowledge, confidence and interpersonal communication skills to educate.
My style of teaching is very flexible and I always teach at a pace that the student would be comfortable with.
BSc Applied Computing
I am a qualified teacher with 15 years of experience in 3 different inner London secondary schools as well as being a local authority advisor. I'm currently working full time in a British Secondary School in Dubai as Head of Department, I teach from Year 7 to Year 13. I teach both Computer Science and Mathematics. I've been an advisor for a London borough and have excellent understanding and knowledge of the National Curriculum. I have outstanding exam results and exceptional success in tutoring.
You are in control of your learning so you will learn if I can motivate and make it fun for you. I believe that tutoring is about setting goals that you feel are attainable, discussing these with your parents/guardians is key in order to establish a prescribed route to take in order to show progress. I think tutoring works when you can see progress. I endeavour to help you quickly feel at ease and I work hard to develop your confidence. I will divide the session so we start with a recap, followed by the main learning outcomes and finish off with a feedback with the parents.
PGCE Secondary Spanish
I am an experienced teacher of French and Spanish who worked in London in a British school for four years and has worked in Dubai for three. I have taught Spanish and French from FS to A-level, as well as native speakers of Spanish. In addition I tutored students in the UK. I am a passionate teacher and my lessons are fun and engaging, as well as being tailored to the needs of my students. Building confidence and ensuring students have the tools to learn successfully is essential.
Tutoring one on one or in small groups provides a huge advantage for students in that they can be given much closer attention than is possible in school. I always assess where a student is at first of all, so that my lessons can be appropriately planned. Working alongside the school curriculum is key, so that my sessions enhance what is being learned in lessons. My lessons are planned according to the student's personality, so that they are interested and motivated throughout our time together.
